Cynthia is a classically-trained soprano from Los Angeles. She started working in music education in 2009, as an Arts Bridge scholar at UC Irvine’s school of the arts. Since then she has taught students for various non-profit organizations, in addition to her private studio. From 2013-2018, she worked at The Harmony Project, managing the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles at Exposition Park (YOLA at EXPO) program. Through her work at YOLA she traveled nationally and internationally with young musicians, presented at the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Take a Stand Symposium, and facilitated a mentorship program. Her passion for arts education and equity is fueled by her personal experience of not having access to music education at an early age.
