Music Program

Global Arts is based at Camino Nuevo Castellanos in the Pico Union Neighborhood of Los Angeles. A student-centric focus on music education and social development is at the core of Global Art’s program philosophy. Classes are based around youth development, meaning students take an active role in the leadership of their classes and the decisions that are made.

As part of the program, students take part in group classes based on their instrument family and participate in 3-4 performances over the course of the school year. Through music they learn how to be part of a team and community.

In addition to music classes students attend free musical performances by some of the best musicians in Los Angeles. Through these performances students are exposed to different types of music, instruments, and people.

Please inquire about enrollment beyond the beginning of the school year. We’ll do our best to make it work!

How much does it cost?

All Global Arts programming is completely free! This includes music supplies, borrowing an instrument, and a Global Arts t-shirt. You can help support the program and keep it free by telling your friends and family about our mission.
